1973 The first country competition in Australia was in Wagga Wagga, NSW

1975 The first women’s competition officially starting in Ballina, NSW.

Since then, the sport has grown to hundreds of associations in every state of Australia. It is one of the most participated sports in Australia, with more than half a million players of all ages.
