In general

Background of Touch Football and football not relating to specific organisations or teams.

Some game terminology, notes on the rules, discussion on some of the skills and tactics used when playing touch football.

Founders and Founding clubs

The founders are those who started the first competitions in Australia in New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland, the predominate states of the sport in Australia. It is not meant to list the founders of every touch competition or organisation. Other countries may be added at a later date.

The founding clubs are those teams that relate to the first two or three competitions in Australia, as the drivers of those teams were the ones most often involved in the original organisation and rules of touch football.

Brisbane

This project to gather the history of Touch Football started in Brisbane, Australia, and at the moment is concentrating in detail on  Brisbane associations and clubs.

Structure

Like most sports, Touch Football has a organisational structure from the international level through to countries, regions, local competitions, clubs, teams and it’s people.

Competitions

The pinnacle of the sport is the many international and inter-region events occurring throughout the world on an annual or biennial basis.

There are also some special organisations devoted to assisting everyone to play touch.
